Snowboarding for the Climate
2023Brief: Create a campaign to protest a social/political issue, which includes a poster, a zine and a badge/sticker. 

An issue which I care about is the environmental impact climate change is having on winter sports; specifically snowboarders. Having a passion for snowboarding and it being a sport which I would like to continue doing for the rest of my life, this is an issue which I am very passionate about.  
Since the campaign had to be factual, I began this project to research the topic, discovering how and why climate change is impacting ski resorts. Once I had the content to use in my campaign, I researched the branding language in snowboarding. I explored various posters, books, and campaigns targeting snowboarders to give my design direction.

Using the research, I then started exploring layout, type, and colour designs on paper. Similar to other board sports, snowboarding often uses 'handmade' posters or stickers. Following this aspect, I decided to mix analogue and digital methods to create my campaign.
